ROM and UiT join forces to strengthen Metode!
We are delighted to announce that ROM and UiT The Arctic University of Norway are entering into a three-year partnership to further develop the Metode publishing platform.
Ingrid Halland, Editor-in-Chief of Metode, and Hanne Hammer Stien, Professor at UiT, emphasise that over the next three years we will work together to strengthen the platform – academically, technically and structurally – and ensure that Metode can continue to be a key forum for knowledge, critical reflection and dialogue on art and architecture.
The collaboration involves, amongst other things, strengthening our work on accessibility, copyright and long-term digital preservation. We will make the content more accessible to a wider audience, including through alternative image captions, improved universal design and clearer licensing. All articles will also be assigned a DOI number, and the website will be backed up annually to ensure that the content is preserved over time.
In other words: we intend both to safeguard what Metode stands for and to develop it further.
Many thanks to UiT for their trust and collaboration – we’re really looking forward to it!
