Arkitekturfilm Oslo 2021

Cinemateket, Kunstnernes Hus Kino & ROM for kunst og arkitektur
21 -24 October 2021

Welcome to the sixth edition of Arkitekturfilm Oslo!

This year's festival aims to discuss how history is linked to identity and how this is reflected in what we build.

The search for identity

This year's Arkitekturfilm Oslo aims to discuss how history is connected to identity and how this is reflected in what we build. Times are always changing. People and systems of organizing people change faster than the physical surroundings. Today, we are changing faster than ever. Architecture is also a tool for establishing identity and belonging, both of which contribute to resilient placemaking. What happens when spaces and places do not keep up with the times? How is our identity linked to space and place? What story should we tell about ourselves?

These questions are illuminated in various ways through the films in the program.
Screenings will take place at ROM for Art and Architecture, Cinemateket i Oslo, and Kunstnernes Hus Kino.
