Architecture today, in the age of globalization, is more intricate than it has been in a long time, and it is challenging to identify commonalities and trends nationally or internationally. In which direction is architecture moving? Is it possible to discern clear trends in today's architecture?

With Snapshot, ROM aims to create an exhibition that conveys a snapshot of the present within architecture. The exhibition seeks to bring forth the architectural profession's visions about the significance of its own production within a larger context and provide room for reflection on their own professional role in today's society. Through the exhibition, dialogue, and debate meetings during the period, we aim to discuss what defines the present in architecture today and what opportunities it creates for the field in the future.

Therefore, ROM approached a selection of Norwegian architectural firms with two specific questions:
What is the most important task for architecture today?
What is the potential for architecture in the future?
