We are looking for projects that spark children’s curiosity about architecture, design, or landscape architecture, ideally at the intersection of disciplines. The workshop should be spatially ambitious, encourage hands-on exploration, and align with ecological values: think natural materials, reuse, and regenerative approaches.

The format of the week is a drop-in, so the project must be flexible, accessible, and engaging for children of varying ages and backgrounds, a bit of experience is a plus. The workshop would preferably be Norwegian. The space is the library of Romsås itself, inside and/or outside: the project should transform, activate, or reimagine it in playful, meaningful ways. For inspiration look to JAMs previous project.

What we offer:

- A one-week workshop at Deichman Romsås (22 - 26 June 2026)
- Support from ROM Ung project leader for developing and production of the project
- Support from Deichman staff under the workshop
- 3000kr budget for materials (focus on reuse, natural, or low-cost resources)
- A fee of 5200kr per day per person (up to two person) + 5200kr for the preparation
- Promotion through ROM and Deichman channels

Who should apply?

Collectives, artists, architects, designers, educators, or interdisciplinary teams with and interests in working with children and an interest in spatial thinking, ecology, and play. Prior experience with libraries or public spaces is a plus.

How to apply

- The concept and how it connects to architecture/design/landscape
- How it will adapt for a drop-in format
