Arkitektenes tegninger 2025

28 November – 14 December 2025
Exhibition opening: 27 November at 18:00

Arkitektenes tegninger is back. After the success of 2024, we are once again inviting you to a collective exhibition that showcases the breadth and depth of architects’ drawing practices—regardless of purpose, technique, or format.

This year’s edition of Arkitektenes tegninger features drawings sold directly from the wall, with all proceeds going in full to AUG’s project in Chiselet, Romania. Every drawing purchased helps build a safehouse for vulnerable children, providing stability, safety, and a foundation for a better future.

For this edition, architects from across the country were invited to select drawings from their own archives to contribute. Together, the works form an exhibition of around 60 drawings that reveal the breadth and depth of drawing within architectural practice. Each one reflects a personal approach, a technique, or a way of exploring form and space.

Drawing is the architect’s oldest and most fundamental tool—whether by hand, digitally, or through material experiments and collage. It is not merely a step toward a finished building, but a method of thinking, communicating, and imagining form, function, and spatial relationships. Despite technological advances, “drawing-thinking” remains central to the creative process.

In this new setting, architects and audiences are invited to reflect on architectural practice from a perspective that looks beyond deadlines, commissions, and completed buildings, and to see drawing as an open, experimental act.

The exhibition will be on view at ROM for kunst og arkitektur from 27 November to 14 December 2025. You can read about last year’s edition here. We hope you’ll join us in contributing to a meaningful project in support of Architects Without Borders.

The project is a collaboration between Arkitektbedriftene, AFAG’s Arkitektur skaper verdi, and ROM.

ROM is proud and delighted to collaborate with our neighbour, Brodins Rammeverksted! Since 1946, Brodins has worked closely with many of Norway’s leading artists, galleries, museums, collectors, and businesses, offering expert, preservation-quality framing. As a contribution to Arkitektenes tegninger, Brodins is offering a 30% discount on framing for drawings purchased from the exhibition.

The Arkitektur skaper verdi project highlights the environmental qualities, social impact, and economic value of good architectural practice. Its goal is to demonstrate how architecture contributes meaningfully to value creation in society, to share exemplary projects, and to support initiatives that strengthen the reputation of the architectural profession.

Join us for the exhibition opening on Thursday, 27 November at 18.00
