Program for Arkitekturfilm Oslo

Arkitekturfilm Oslo 2024
March 14th -17th

Check out the program for this year's Arkitekturfilm Oslo!

The films this year showcase architecture and places where rebellion, sorrow, and joy unfold, and also how these emotions can influence architecture and space. Under pressure, whether one is demonstrating for freedom of speech, seeking solace in a church, or participating in parades adorned with leather and feathers, architecture and urban spaces have always played a central role.

This year's program at Cinemateket and VEGA invites the audience to experience architecture and urban spaces through feature films and documentaries, in light of the powerful forces of rebellion, sorrow, and joy. The film program is curated by Tina Lam, a practicing urban planner with a master's degree from NMBU (2021). She has a background in political science and a expressed interest in film and TV, which she often refers to in her work.

As part of the film program, you will also find a selection for children and youth at Cinemateket and selected Deichman libraries, there will be conversations and debates, and, not least, we will showcase filmmaker Jenny Perlin's solo exhibition Near Space - a comprehensive installation consisting of films, sound works, videos, and images.
