Workshop with Arkki

Suitable for you between the ages of 9 and 12
13 - 14 November 2021
Kl. 10.00 - 16.00

We are extremely proud to collaborate with the Finnish School of Architecture, Arkki, and the Finnish-Norwegian Cultural Institute for a workshop at ROM!

During this weekend, we will learn about architecture, facades, and modeling. We will explore the various designs and facades of the city. Participants will use photography to document eye-catching buildings. Then, we will use the photos we have taken during the walk to draw and assemble our own street, a "Wild West Street."

Through different activities, we will reflect on how variation and architectural details can impact our neighborhoods. Can a street be "too much"?

Arkki engages in creative learning projects focused on architecture and design. Their goal is to enhance children and young people's abilities to be innovative and provide them with the competence to meet the challenges we face in today's society. To learn more, visit their website.

The project is generously supported by FINNO - the Finnish-Norwegian Cultural Institute. The institute promotes collaboration, dialogue, and mobility between Finnish and Norwegian artists, cultural actors, and organizations, and produces a diverse program for a wide audience.
