ROM for kunst og arkitektur har gleden av å samarbeide med Oslo-baserte Safe Space Collective, initiert og drevet av Bui Quy Son, Paul-Antoine Lucas og Armelle Breuil.

ROM for kunst og arkitektur har gleden av å samarbeide med Oslo-baserte Safe Space Collective, initiert og drevet av Bui Quy Son, Paul-Antoine Lucas og Armelle Breuil. De er et fransk-vietnamesisk skeivt kollektiv som opererer i krysningspunktet kunst, arkitektur and aktivisme. Prosjektet Safe Space er en samtaleserie som tar form som utstilling og residency-opphold på ROM i perioden 3. mai - 6. juni 2021, og podcast som kan høres her

Safe Space er en undersøkelse av betydningen av mangfold og representasjon i arkitektur, så vel som mulighetene for en mer inkluderende arkitektur utdannelse og praksis i Norge. Med inviterte gjester skal Safe Space Collective arrangere offentlige samtaler om representasjon av minoriteter i feltet til diskriminering i boligmarkedet, klimaurettferdighet og skeive praksiser i arkitektur. Disse samtalene vil skape en diskurs som vil bli nærmere undersøkt i form av podcast og publisert tekst.

Bui Quy Son: Born in Vietnam, Sơn studied in Paris before graduating in 2017 from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He worked as an architect at Ghilardi+Hellsten, and now practices landscape architecture at SLA. In parallel, he continues pursuing various art and design projects. Sơn also shares an architecture practice with Paul-Antoine, under the name Exutoire.

Paul-Antoine Lucas: : Paul-Antoine studied architecture in Paris and Hong Kong before graduating from AHO in 2018. He is currently working at Spacegroup, Oslo Arkitektforening and on his own projects, including Exutoire. He also holds a position of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape at AHO.

Armelle Breuil: Armelle is an engaged architect, feminist and environmental activist, she studied in Paris, Singapore and Madrid. In Oslo, she worked at Spacegroup and Architectopia before starting this year her own office, ACT - Architecture for Changing Times.
